Susie Yakowicz
After working as a paralegal for over five years, Susie left the field of law and revisited her favorite pastime, writing - and has never looked back. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Colorado and has taken numerous postgraduate courses in writing and editing.
Her work has appeared in a variety of publications for children and adults, including Imagination Cafe, Boys’ Quest, Learning Through History, Our Little Friend, Stories for Children, Wee Ones Magazine, The Fargo Forum, Dog Fancy, Animal Wellness, and Writing-world.com. In addition, she has written and published four historical books - Steel Glory: The Life of Shipbuilder Arthur Sewall (biography), From Down East to Midwest: The Memoirs of Margaret Sewall Hector (memoir), Saving the Schooner (young adult historical fiction), and Fire Runner (young adult historical fiction). She is a longtime member of the Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators.
